What is JLPT?
JLPT stands for Japanese Language Proficiency Test, and is a test to measure the Japanese language proficiency of non-native speakers of Japanese. JLPT has five levels: N1, N2, N3, N4, and N5.
The JLPT is a test that comprehensively measures communicative ability in Japanese from three areas: language knowledge, reading comprehension, and listening comprehension.

Some facts about the Japanese
The pronunciation of Japanese is fairly simple, and the grammar is not as complicated as in other languages. There is no such thing as “tone of voice” in Japanese. In Japanese conversation, you don’t have to say the subject of every sentence, and you can speak using only the verbs and adjectives in the sentence. So, in that sense, Japanese is said to be easier to learn than other languages.
However, Japanese people often use keigo (a form of language politeness) and gender words depending on the speaker’s position in society, and they often prefer to use ambiguous expressions and unclear answers. This is the reason why the language in textbooks and the language actually spoken are different.
